Call for Cross Promos
We’re proud that the Cloud10 network is so diverse in content, genre, and more. We’ve got kids’ shows, true crime, chat shows, and everything in between. (We couldn’t even fit all of our shows in the screenshot below!)
One of the best ways to grow your podcast is to get it in front of another podcasts’ audience and vice versa. Promo swaps! So, let’s set some up.
Do you want to run a promo on another Cloud10 show in exchange for that show running a promo on your show?
Look through our network shows, choose one or two, and reply to this email. We’ll make some matches and start coordinating the details.
Cloud10 Episode Spotlight
Podcast:
Sinisterhood
Episode:
The Wrongful Conviction of Ryan Ferguson - Part 1
Details:
“A college town is shocked by the heinous and violent murder of one of the city’s most beloved journalists. For two years, the case was cold until an unlikely pair of suspects emerged. The only problem? There was no evidence linking either of them to the crime. Still, one of them confessed leading to a years-long battle for justice.”
Host Interview
In this section, we share short, written interviews between the Cloud10 newsletter team and YOU, our wonderful hosts and producers. In order for that to happen, we need you!
Want to answer a few questions about your show? Your goals? We’d love to hear from you. Reply to this email and we’ll get the ball rolling.
Get to Know: Woody Overton, host of Real Life Real Crime
Cloud10: Why are you the perfect host for your podcast?
Woody: I am the perfect host for RLRC because I tell stories of cases that I actually worked on that ARE real life and real crime.
C10: What’s the number one thing people ask you?
W: To help them with their loved ones’ murder cases.
C10: Can you talk about Mary Pourciau’s case and why her siblings reached out to you?
W: Her siblings reached out to me because they were told by the police that there was no way her murder would ever be solved unless they had video evidence or the killer confessed. I took on the case and after a five-part series on Real Life Real Crime, there were two arrests made in Mary’s murder in less than a week because I had my listeners put the police on blast.
C10: Is there a certain type of case that gets you the most excited to cover?
W: Cold cases that I can solve. Less than 1% of all cold cases are ever solved and the colder they get, the lower that percentage is. We have now solved two cold cases -- one of which was over 16 years old!
C10: What are you cooking up right now for Real Life Real Crime?
W: A new season leading off with a double homicide case. We also just finished the 3rd annual Krewe Bash, where I did another live podcast for a sold-out crowd.
C10: What’s something you’ve learned about yourself making the show?
W: I have learned a lot about myself making the show, but the things that stick out the most are that I have a knack for telling stories, and that people like my voice.
C10: If you could start a new show—don’t worry about the logistics or whether or not anybody would like it, what would it be?
W: I am starting two new shows- Scorched Justice, in partnership with Cloud 10 Media, and a spin-off of RLRC, #JusticeFor_____, where I focus on cold cases only, instead of telling old cop stories.
Notes from Sim
We hope to see you at Podcast Movement in Los Angeles in March! Two Cloud10 podcasts will be on a panel I’m moderating called…
So You Want to Start a True Crime Podcast...
Here’s the description:
Join Cloud10 Media CEO Sim Sarna and top True Crime podcasts Sinisterhood and Murder With My Husband as they share tips and best practices for building a popular crime show.
They’ll also discuss how they market their respective shows to make them different than most true crime podcasts. Are you more of a serial killer show or do you want to focus on a paranormal activity thriller? During this panel, we’ll show you how to pursue a passion of yours and potentially solve crimes along the way.
